My Philosophy of Education Essay -- Teaching Philosophy Education

My Philosophy of Education Why do I want to be a teacher? I have thought long and hard over that question, and my answer is I dont know. My initial thought about going into pedagogy stemmed from my own experiences. When my son was in school, a teacher gave up on him and said, hell be a dropout. They will weed him out when he gets to high school. My son is now a junior at West Virginia University. I never want to see another kid be dropped by dint of the cracks or weeded out, when he gets to high school. Children are our greatest assets. Teachers have an obligation to try every avenue with each student until they find wizard that works. I know that every time I walk into a classroom of students, I get a chill up my back. I feel manage I am home. I am comfortable in a room full of children, waiting and wanting to learn. I feel that it is my responsibility to turn them the best education I can provide. My philosophy of education is a blend of positive and ne gative points of Plato/Socrates, William Bagleys essentialism, and B.F. Skinners behaviorism. Socrates ability to consider students question, disprove and test the inner thoughts fascinate me. William Bagleys essentialists give students the back to basics education program, with heavy emphasis put on writing, science, reading, math, art and music. A teacher needs to be flexible, but firm, understanding, generate interest in everything they teach and never give up on any student. All children deserve the right to a meaningful and rich education. Children learn through the power of reasoning and life experiences. Teachers need to retain the belief that teaching is the most important and rewarding profession one can embark upon. Teachers who strive to teach the next millennium of students will need to have valuable assets and abilities. Anything less will be unfair to the children of the future.

Spletter because she has inspired and helped guide women through breast crabmeat. I also selected her because at the age of 25 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and she still remained positive and strong. Im currently 25 years old and it made me realize not to take things for granted and to always hang-up positive regardless of what website your in. Im interviewing Mary in The Bellevue Club on the shores of Lake Merritt in Oakland, CA. This historical building has breathtaking views of Lake Merritt and a local bird sanctuary. We decided on this place because Mary is a member here. She also enjoys the rich history, having meals and takes swimming classes here. We decided to do the interview over lunch in the main eat room, which had high ceilings, marble flooring, and floral long curtains. This club was a former womens social club and had a style of the 1920s. Mary was born in Appleton, Wisconsin. While growing up she lived with her mother, her brother and youngest sister. Her father was in the military and eventually left them and moved to California. She lived a pretty good childhood, she attended church building every Sunday and she was always interested in reading and writing. While growing up she saw her mother struggle to support 3 children save her mother was always strong and positive. Mary k pertly she wanted to do something with her life that inspired others and she knew that her writing could take her there. She also in enjoyed French and took many classes in high school and college. She graduated from University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelors of Science in Journalism in ... ...
